So I had a TERRIFFIC time at the Assemblage show. Was the first time I
got to see the band live, they rocked. We got to play some new
material that we are excited about, and see some fabulous people from
far and near. There was a really good turnout. I was glad to see some
people I met at my first gig with the band in Chicago, and people I've
been meeting along the way who have been making me feel more at home in
this journey. I've been meeting a lot of new people.
Got to take some great pictures, can't post them all, but here's one I'm pretty fond of...
I'm sure that hurts everyone to look at.
There are more people to give thanks to for the evening than I actually
ever got names for, but one by one, I shall come to know you better.
Thanks to all who helped to make the night special, and for showing
such intense support.

The gig at Mephistos went well last Saturday. It was cold and snowy but there was a pretty good turnout of friendly faces, both new and familiar. Got in very late, but had a wonderful time! We had 2 sets and I was totally settled in by the second, several jack and cokes later. Missed the actual fetish show, but some lovely folks were kind enough to show us the contents of their toy bag.
*evil grin*
We've been getting ready for the Assemblage show on May 7th. My friend is coming in from Chicago to catch it for his birthday. Need everyone to come early...we are on first so if you are late you'll miss us!
Just bought new shoes for the occasion, yay. They make me so much taller. I have my work cut out as Miss Rayne is already taller than me even without her wonderful boots.
Oh well, I'll have to FORCE myself to get more boots.
Fighting off a cold, but that's the Michigan weather for you.
Hot bath, vitamin c, chewable zinc and hot tea...what more can be done??

Lots of fun breaking in the loft Saturday night! Everything was great, I met lots of cool people who I look forward to seeing again! Lots of fun singing but lots of trouble keeping my top up...all for a good cause I say. It did seem to play well...can anyone say "safety pins?" Ron was a sport about it. He managed to get some video, I hope it came out...it was pretty dark in there. Hope everybody is ok after losing an hour of sleep. I have my work cut out for me figuring out who you all are on LJ! Friend me if you recognize me. |
